In Convenience News

Last night we had our first free outdoor screening of the film on ISU campus! The turn out was good and we got a lot of great feedback from the audience. This was probably the first time this movie has been shown to a completely neutral crowd, and the reactions was very positive. After the show we were able to chat with people about the movie and our hopes for future films. We were even asked to sign copies of the DVD! Super-star!

We’re really excited about the rest of our festival. You can check out the dates on our Showings page of the website. We’ll be giving away 100 DVD’s to the first 100 couples, families, or individuals that come to watch the film. Spread the word! We’ll also be selling copies of the DVD for $15, the soundtrack for $10, and popcorn and water for $1 each.

These summer nights are a great time to come out with friends or family and enjoy In Convenience. This film festival is made possible by the sponsership of Broulims, IE Productions, Z103, Q102, and many others. We hope to see you there.

After some feedback, and plenty of struggling with getting a DVD cover we could be happy with I stumbled into a different art style altogether that everyone seems to be pleased with. That of course means that there’s going to be an update to just about everything on the site, including a trimmer trailer that Nels is working on. So stay tuned.

We’ve screened the film three times now at the Westwood Theater in Rexburg. It’s been awesome to final share this story with many of the people who have been involved in our movie. A big THANK YOU goes out to the Westwood, and to all of you who came and supported us. We really appreciate all of the feedback we’ve been receiving. Which is why we’ve decided to take one last (like I haven’t said that before) critical look at the film.

We are currently in the process of tightening and rearranging a few key elements in the movie. Things are going well, and we hope to be finished soon. These changes are exactly what “In Convenience” needs to polish the plot. This is not our first re-cut, and our team has been convinced that each time we chisel away at the film, it becomes better.

Man, I’m excited to push this project forward. We have a fun movie! I love the characters. I love the style. I can’t say enough how thankful I am that such a talented group of people have come together to make this film a reality! A feature length film! Those of you who are a part of it should be proud of yourselves. Those who read this who aren’t yet a part, please support this ground breaking movement to make good films in our little region.
