Nels Chick - Writer & Director
It’s amazing what you find under a rock. Nels Chick was raised in the Rimrock desert. He’s always had a love for entertainment. At BYU-Idaho, Nels studied Broadcast Communication. He also took advantage of the opportunity to cluster classes, helping him broaden his understanding and experience in the entertainment industry.
In his last year at BYU-Idaho, Nels met Brian Carter. They quickly became friends, finding that they shared similar goals and interests. Together they produced the music video, “This Room” (www.bigville.net). It was then that Brian proposed the idea of making an independent film. Plans set into motion to begin producing, “In Convenience,” written by Nels a year earlier. In the summer of 2006, Nels Chick became a filmmaker.
Rachel Chick, Nels’ wife, has supported him through the nearly two year ordeal. They have three gorgeous daughters, Hazel, Lilie, and Elsie.
